Sighting in an Air Rifle Scope.mov
RT3sGuru asked:
Watch as a Scope is sighted in on an air rifle. Air Rifle scopes like those by RWS and Walther have ASR or Airgun Shock Reinforcement. This means their lenses are cushioned at either side. This is because air rifles kick twice, once forward and once backward, as opposed to a firearm which only kicks once. Video directed by Umarex USA. www.UmarexUSA.com. Filmed and edited by 5-Star Productions.

I’d like to see an instructional video on sighting in the [iron] sights. I have a scope and mount w/RWS Panther, but want to use the fiber optic sights while I wait to get a 50mm objective scope.

With an air rifle, you don’t want to secure it. It needs to be able to move. A rigid mount will make it way more difficult to sight in. Takes practice and patience.

If you want quality, consider an RWS Model 34. You can pick one up for under that online.

That was just pure look. 20 yards is only good for windage. Best to zero at 30-35 yards. Also it will take much longer then 3 pellets.
Secondly, you just dont shoot 1 pellet then alter your scope. You shoot 3-4 at the aim point to see if there all grouping in the same area. Then you alter your scope. And do the same untill you start grouping on the aim point.
